Looking at Miami - Night shot from Miami Beach

From our day out to Miami Beach without the kids. After sunset, we walked around the south of Miami Beach to take a few night pictures before heading back to the Art Deco District.

I think I saw the giant cranes on the right in Dexter season 4... but not sure what that location is (Miami Port?)

Best seen Large On Black.

Festi Lumiere in Quebec

It seems that lately, I don't have enough time to spend on taking pictures (or processing them).

To at least post one this week, here is from our visit to the Festi Lumiere in 2009. Some old ones not processed yet.

Look into my eyes... - Miami Beach Holocaust Memorial

The Miami Beach Memorial is powerful, it is overwhelming. It makes you feel small, feel ackward. You don't feel good inside yourself just by being there.

Can't imagine how they felt.

Bonhomme Carnaval Castle - Quebec Winter Carnival or Carnaval de Quebec

I went to take pictures of the Quebec Carnival. On my way back, the Ice Castle (the house of the Carnival mascot, the Bonhomme Carnaval) was mostly empty. I therefore setup quicly to take a picture before somebody had to walk through. This room is quite small. Everywhere in the castle, there are some LED lights that change color. The whole castle changes color at the same time. Unfortunately (or fortunately) taking all 51 pictures take quite some time. So the castle went through every single color of it's visual repertoire. I didn't know how hugin and enblen would cope with this.

Bonhomme Carnaval Castle - Quebec Winter Carnival or Carnaval de Quebec

As you can see, it did. All the tiles are perfectly aligned, and the colors do blend perfectly in. No sharp transition. Kudos to Enblend for the nice result.

One thing that did not come out well were the pictures taken in the blue sections. I don't understand how the camera\photomatix came up with this result as it is not pleasing to the eye. Smaller originals will follow. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, no planet. This picture is not planet worthy... Not even sure it would have made it here wasn't it for the blue mystery I'd like to solve.

Two gold medals for Canadian Hockey Teams! Mr Potato Head Edition

I've wanted to shoot a little more studio setups. In honor of the 2 Canadian Hockey Gold Medals, a little Mr Potato Head shoot sounded like a good excuse.
Congrats to both teams.
